Allen and Rimer Repeat as SCAC Award Winners

For the second consecutive week, Colorado College sophomore Sam Allen and junior Nico Rimer have been selected the SCAC Men's Swimmer and Co-Diver of the Week, respectively, after outstanding performances at the 27th annual CC Classic last weekend.
 
Allen, from Aptos, Calif., captured four individual first place finishes at the CC Classic in the 200 back (1:52.18), 100 back (50.71), 100 fly (51.06) and 200 fly (1:56.01). He recorded multiple lifetime bests including a school record in the 100 back (50.60 leading off the 400 medley relay, three pool records (800 Free Relay, 200 Back and 400 Medley Relay) and was the meet's high-point winner with 80 points.
 
He was part of the 200 Medley (23.42 Back), 400 Medley (50.60), and 400 Free relays which all took first place. He was also on the 200 Free B relay which took 2nd place splitting (21.37). The 800 free relay time trialed and broke the pool record (7:01.44) with Allen leading off with a split of 1:44.13, another lifetime best time.
 
Rimer, from Cambridge, Mass., performed 11 dives at the CC Classic on both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. He won the 3m with his first ever NCAA regional qualifying score of 462.90. He placed second on the 1m with his second regional qualifying score 438.95, earning his first ever trip to the NCAA regionals.
 
The Tigers return to action at the SCAC Championships, Feb. 11-14, in Garland, Texas.
