Men's Swim and Dive Team Posts Nation's Best GPA; Women Third in DIII

The Colorado College men's swimming and diving team compiled the highest grade-point average across all divisions and the women's squad had the third highest in Division III as both programs earned Scholar All-American honors from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the 2025 fall semester.

For the 24th consecutive semester, both teams were recognized for their academic excellence.

The CC men posted a 3.81 team GPA, which was the highest in the country, regardless of division, for the second consecutive semester. The women, meanwhile, racked up a 3.82 team GPA, eighth among all divisions.

"We are extremely proud of our swimmers and divers for earning CSCAA Scholar All-American recognition and for the incredible academic standard they continue to set," head coach Jen Buffin said. "For our men to post the highest GPA across all divisions with a 3.81 for the second straight semester, and our women to rank third in Division III with a 3.82, speaks volumes about their commitment to excellence in every area of their lives. These teams support and challenge each other in the classroom just as they do in the pool. They have disciplined themselves in how they manage their time, their wellbeing, and their responsibilities, and that discipline shows in both their academic and athletic success. What they choose to do is not easy, but they are learning how to work as a team beyond the pool deck and how to support each other not just as athletes, but as people."

To qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 during the Fall 2025 semester.

Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's oldest professional organization of college coaches. Its mission is to serve and provide leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
