The Colorado College men's swimming team delivered a competitive performance, but fell to Chapman University, 192-108, Friday in Orange, Calif.

Sam Allen and and
Logan Loveday highlighted the meet for CC, combining for a dominant 1–2 sweep in three events, the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, and 200 individual medley.

Allen capped off an exceptional meet by finishing as the top overall point scorer, while Loveday played a key role in building momentum for the team throughout the day.

Additional event wins came from
Andrew Colgan in the 100 breaststroke and
Stephen Kim in the 100 butterfly. Kim also impressed with a runner-up finish in the 200 butterfly, marking his first time competing in the event this season. His strong showing helped him finish as the team's second-highest point scorer of the meet.

In diving,
Nico Rimer had a solid in-season meet, improving on his dives and continuing progress toward his personal goals.Â

Edmund Davis delivered two thrilling races, narrowly finishing second in both the 500 and 1000 freestyle races, battling with Chapman's distance swimmers.

"This was a strong Chapman team and exactly the kind of competition we were looking for," head coach
Jen Buffin said. "We knew this meet would give us a lot of opportunities to race against a team like ours. We didn't get the win, but we were very happy with how our guys fought for every race."
