Livi Woolery, Tunggal and senior
Adeline Turner on the victorious 200 medley relay team.
Â
Chambon won the 100 backstroke in her first collegiate competition, while junior
Kylie Spalt won the 200 freestyle.
Â
"I thought we did a great job executing our races tonight," head coach
Jen Buffin said. "Our team brought great energy, stayed focused, and competed with purpose. It was exciting to see how our freshmen responded in their first collegiate meet, and I was especially proud of the leadership our seniors demonstrated throughout the evening. This was a great way to open our season against a strong conference opponent, and we're looking forward to carrying that energy and team first mentality into tomorrow's relay meet."
Â
Senior
Keller Pooley, the reigning SCAC Diver of the Year, won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events, followed by sophomores
Julia Tilson and
Hazel Ryden in each event.
Â
"We came into our first meet of the season with great energy and a competitive mindset," diving coach
Ellen Walker said. "The divers did a nice job of staying present, remaining focused, and taking it one dive at a time.
Keller Pooley set the tone by achieving her first NCAA regional qualifying score of the season on the 1-meter board. It was a great start to the season, and I'm excited to see how this group continues to grow and build momentum as we move forward."
Â
Colorado College and Asbury will compete in a relay meet on Saturday, Oct. 17, beginning at 11 a.m.
