Colorado College delivered a historic Thursday night at the SCAC Championships in Garland, Tex., setting three school records, sweeping an individual podium and widening its lead in the team standings.
CC leads the field with 359 points through 12 events.
The Tigers closed the evening with a record-breaking performance in the 400 medley relay. Sam Allen, Andrew Colgan, Liam McCarthy and Dax Sherwood captured the conference title in 3:19.05, setting a new school record. Allen opened the relay with a 50.10 backstroke split — another school record — before Colgan, McCarthy and Sherwood sealed the victory.
Earlier in the night, Edmund Davis rewrote the program record book in the 500 freestyle. The senior won the conference championship for the second time in 4:32.76, establishing a new school record. CC dominated the championship final, sweeping the podium as Lucio Bollettieri placed second in 4:40.85 and first-year Mark Lofye finished third in 4:42.02.Â
Allen added an individual title in the 200 IM, touching in 1:50.97 to earn 20 points. The Tigers again controlled the final, as Logan Loveday finished second (1:53.61) and Kole Petersen third (1:59.03) for another 1-2-3 sweep.
In the 50 freestyle, McCarthy led CC with a runner-up finish in 20.56, followed Colgan (3rd, 21.04) and Sherwood (7th, 21.16).

"They responded with three school records, two individual champions, and a number of outstanding best times. We've talked all season about building momentum at the right time, and tonight was a powerful example of that. I'm proud of how they're competing and excited about the next session."
