Colorado College saw its 2025-26 season come to a close Friday afternoon with a 65-53 loss to Centenary in the SCAC Tournament quarterfinals at Grove Gymnasium in Conway, Arkansas.Â
The Tigers battled throughout but struggled to find an offensive rhythm, shooting 25.4 percent from the field and 10.0 percent from three-point range.
Senior Asher Nofziger led the way in his final game in a CCÂ uniform, finishing with 15 points and seven rebounds. Nofziger closed out a decorated career ranked fifth all-time in program history with 663 career rebounds, fourth in single-season rebounds with 244 this year, and 15th all-time in scoring with 1,153 career points.
Centenary (11-15) opened the second half on a 6-0 push and gradually extended its lead to as many as 14 midway through the period. CC (12-14) trimmed the deficit to single digits multiple times, including a 49-38 margin with just over seven minutes remaining, but could not generate the sustained scoring run needed to flip momentum.
Junior Ty Hendler added 10 points and four rebounds, while freshman Terrion Benson provided 13 points and five boards off the bench.
Despite the shooting struggles, CC held a 46-43 rebounding edge and scored 24 points in the paint. CC also produced 21 bench points compared to Centenary's eight.
Centenary shot 42.6 percent from the field and 88.2 percent from the free throw line, converting 15-of-17 at the stripe.
CC finishes the season with a 12-14 (10-6 SCAC) record.Â
