The Colorado College men's tennis team saw its four-match winning streak snapped Wednesday evening with a 5-2 loss to 11
th-ranked Babson College in Claremont, Calif.
Babson College swept the doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead.
Nick Anderson and
Sam Lessard put together the best match before falling to Venkat Batlanki and Martin Mejia, 7-5, at the No. 3 spot.
CC captured two of the six singles matches, including a three-set victory by
Dominik Kaminski, 5-7, 6-2, 6-4, over Sebastian Mendoza at the No. 1 spot. Lenny Melhitz also won in three sets, defeating Baklanti at the No. 4 position, 6-7(3), 6-2, 1-0(5). Babson in the other four singles matches in straight sets.
The Tigers (4-2) return to action on Thursday, March 19, against 31
st-ranked Cal Tech in Pasadena, Calif., beginning at 3 p.m. (PT).
