The Colorado College men's tennis team captured a pair of matches Saturday at Lifetime Fitness, defeating Division II Colorado Mesa, 4-3, and SCAC-foe Hendrix College, 5-2.  
 
In the opener, CC captured the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead. Lenny Lehmitz and Sam Dilworth defeated Emil Hultman and Diogo Manzano, 6-4, at the No. 2 position, while Nick Anderson and Dylan Ferraro beat Luke Burriesci and Jamison Pfingston, 6-3, at No. 3.  
 
Hultman evened the match at 1-1 with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Dilworth at the No. 3 position. Then CC's Dominik Kaminski beat Henry Scheck, 6-4, 6-2, and Manzano beat Lehmitz, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 to make it 2-2.
 
CMU's William Leschig downed Ross Cockrell, 6-0, 6-3, to give the Mavericks a 3-2 lead, but Hudson Chris beat Burriesci, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 6, then Sam Lessard rallied to defeat Gavin Hutter 3-6, 6-4, 1-0(7) at the No. 5 spot to win the match for the Tigers.
 
In the evening match, the Tigers (7-6, 6-0 SCAC) won at Nos. 1 and 3 doubles to take an early 1-0 lead over Hendrix (9-5, 5-1 SCAC). Kaminski and Justin Boder beat Wesley McClure and James Thomson, 6-4, at No. 1, while Anderson and Ferraro downed Max Henderson and Robinson Wright, 6-4, at No. 3.
 
McClure evened the match with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Kaminski at the top singles spot, but Lenny Lehmitz and Sam Dilworth won at No. 2 and 3 in straight sets, respectively, to give the Tigers a 3-1 lead.
 
Hudson Chris beat Matias Ancieta, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 6 to clinch the match in a battle of previously unbeaten SCAC squads.
 
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, April 11, against SCAC-foe the University of St. Thomas at Lifetime Fitness, beginning at 1 p.m.
