The Colorado College men's tennis team remained perfect in the SCAC Saturday afternoon with a 7-0 victory over the University of St. Thomas on Senior Day at Lifetime Fitness in Colorado Springs.
The Tigers (8-6, 7-0 SCAC) won all three doubles matches, 6-2, to take an early 1-0 lead.
Dominik Kaminski and
Justin Boder defeated Sawyer White and Wilson Salazar Jr., at the top spot, while
Lenny Lehmitz and
Sam Dilworth downed Pooya Tork and Ricardo Moolchan at No. 2.
Nick Anderson and
Dylan Ferraro completed the sweep with a victory over Luis Ledezma and Raja Pandya at the No. 3 position.
Kaminski and Lehmitz gave the Tigers a 3-0 lead with straight set wins at the top two spots, then Dilworth came from behind to win, 4-6, 6-2, 1-0(4) victory over Moolchan at No 3 to clinch the team match.
Hugo Vohmann took care of Salazar, 6-0, 7-5, at the No. 4 spot, while
Ross Cockrell captured a 7-5, 6-1 win over Tork at No. 5 and
Sam Lessard won the No. 6 match, 7-6(2), 6-3, over Gavin Simpson to close out the match.
Anderson was honored in a pre-match senior ceremony.
The Tigers return to action on Sunday, April 12, against LeTourneau University at Lifetime Fitness, beginning at 8 a.m.
