The Colorado College men's tennis team captured a 5-2 victory over UC Santa Cruz Thursday evening in Frisco, Texas.
The Tigers (10-6) won the doubles point with victories at the top two spots
Dominik Kaminski and
Justin Boder downed Rocco Melendez and Benjamin Wang, 6-2, at the top spot, while
Lenny Lehmitz and
Sam Dilworth beat Gavin Sonntag and Caden Wong, 6-3, at No. 2.
Colorado College clinched the match by winning four of the six singles matches, led by Kaminski, who rallied to beat Wang, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3, at the No. 1 singles spot. Dilworth posted a 7-6(4), 6-0 triumph over Melendez at No. 3, while
Hugo Vohmann (No. 4) and
Ross Cockrell (No. 5) each won in straight sets.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, April 18, with their final two SCAC matches of the regular season at Austin College and the University of Dallas.
