Barker and Smeal Are All-Americans

Senior Allison Barker and sophomore Oliver Smeal each collected a second-team All-America honor Saturday on the final day of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in La Crosse, Wis.

Barker earned her first career All-America nod with an 11th-place finish in the women's 1500 final on Saturday. She crossed the line with a time 4:28.26 and joins former Tigers Annabel Arnott (1995) and Isabel Olson (2025) as All-Americans in the event.

Smeal, meanwhile, placed 16th in the men's javelin with a toss of 191' 10" to gather his first All-American award. He is the second athlete in program history to become an All-American in the javelin, joining Marshall Griffith (1969).
