The Colorado College Tigers kick off the 2026 women's soccer season this afternoon when they welcome the Creighton Bluejays to Stewart Field. The program embarks on its 49th season under fifth year head coach Keri Sanchez.
The Tigers had a mixed bag of results in 2025 for the Tigers, as CC finished just shy of the .500 mark for the season at 5-6-7. The team's seven draws were the most in program history, topping the previous most of five which the Tigers had reached twice (2022, 2012). The Tigers nearly had three of a kind through the non-conference schedule as they sat at 3-3-2 through the first month of the season, before embarking on what would be a 2-3-5 record in Mountain West action. Goalkeeping was a sticking point for the Tigers with Regan Wallace between the sticks for the entire fall season. The Tigers posted six clean sheets over the campaign, bringing Wallace's career total to 13 which ranks in a tie for tenth most in Tiger history, even with Kristin Masunaga (1999-2002). The Tigers two leading scorers are both back for 2026, with Kendall Memoly (6g, 1a, 13pts) set for her senior season, as Finley Schoenbeck (4g, 3a, 11pts) reprises her role on the wing for the Tigers this season. Tyler Rose (Sr.), and Lily Smith (So.) were the remaining Tigers from last fall that recorded perfect attendance in the 18 matches played by CC. Smith, the Tigers starting centerback, and Rose, a go to forward in the middle, both started every match and recorded over 1,000 minutes a piece last season.
Wallace, the Tigers senior goalkeeper, and Schoenbeck, a junior forward, have been named team captains for the 2026 season. Wallace was the go-to in net for the Tigers last season, recording a career-high six clean sheets which tied her for third most in the Mountain West. Schoenbeck checked in second on the team with four goals and led the team with three assists for an 11-point total.
Colorado College owns a 27-12-2 all-time record in Division I season openers. In their first game of the 2025 campaign, the Tigers defeated New Mexico State 2-1 in Las Cruces.
Colorado College posted a 5-6-7 overall record and a 2-3-5 mark in the Mountain West last season. The Tigers finished in eighth place in the conference standings two spots shy of postseason qualification.
Creighton finished the 2025 season with a 7-8-4 record and 4-3-3 mark in the Big East. The Bluejays lost to Georgetown, 2-0, in the first round of the conference tournament.
Colorado College and Creighton have met only once in the history of the two programs, with the Tigers and Bluejays squaring off in Omaha on September 9th, 2022. The Bluejays bested CC that day, winning by a final score of 2-1.
Creighton enters the 2026 season looking to build on two successful years after earning a second straight Big East Tournament appearance. With a 7-8-4 record last season, the Bluejays will rely on 17 underclassman and returning contributors like Jalen Chaney, Anna Bragg, Olivia Duray, Tejia Murray-Powell, Olivai Sides, and Clara Kulick. Picked to finish fourth in the Big East preseason poll, Creighton will look to maintain its recent momentum under longtime head coach Jimmy Walker who enters his 19th season at the helm of the program.
The Tigers were picked fifth out of 11 teams in the Mountain West preseason poll as voted on by the league's 11 head coaches. Head Coaches were asked to rank their expected standings through the regular season, excluding their own team from their own ranking.
