The Colorado College volleyball team improved to 5-1 this season with a pair of victories Saturday to wrap up the Case Western Reserve Quad in Cleveland, Ohio.
 
The Tigers defeated Hiram College, 3-0, followed by a 3-1 victory over Case Western Reserve, to post their best record after six matches since 2022.
 
In Saturday's opening 25-17, 26-24, 25-19 victory over Hiram, senior Brooke Brilliant led the Tigers with 13 kills, followed by fellow seniors Julia Reusch with a season-high 11 and Camille Sherrill with 10. Sophomore Delaney Dorscht collected eight kills while committing just one error.
 
Senior Meghan Gannon had 13 digs, while senior Annie Joo posted 30 assists and seven digs.
 
In the nightcap, CC overcame a slow start to defeat Case Western Reserve, 15-25, 25-15, 25-22, 25-18.
 
Brilliant led the way again with 15 kills, while Dorscht produced a season-high 11, along with Sherrill. Reusch had eight and sophomore Grace Berry added seven.
 
Joo was stellar once again from the setter position, collecting 45 assists and a match-high 14 digs. Gannon followed with 13 digs and Sherrill added 11 digs and tied with sophomore Tatum Hodges with a match-high four service aces.
 
"This was an exciting 3-0 weekend filled with hard work and discipline," interim head coach Nikki Binetti said. "It was great getting to continue to work on new things against teams with completely different playing styles. We are pumped to head into one more non-conference weekend before beginning conference play." 
 
The Tigers remain on the road next weekend with three matches at the Calvin Invitational in Grand Rapids, Mich., beginning with matches on Friday, Sept. 18, against Cortland (2 p.m. ET) and Otterbein (4:30 p.m. ET).
