Jake Heine, a 2012 Colorado College graduate with a bachelor’s degree in economics, is in his first season as assistant coach with the men’s basketball program.
Heine will focus his efforts on coaching, recruiting, and individual skill development, and assist head coach Andy Partee in developing practice plans, formulating scouting reports and overall game preparation.
A native of Bedford, N.Y., Heine spent the last few summers working for USA Basketball in Colorado Springs. Most recently, he worked with Team USA’s Gold Medal Olympic team, working alongside coaching legends such as Mike Krzyzewski, Roy Williams, Jim Boeheim, Billy Donovan, Brad Stevens, Matt Painter and Paul Hewitt, among others.
As a student, Heine spent three years working with the Colorado College basketball program. He served two seasons as a student manager before being promoted to student assistant coach his senior year.
