Rob Burke, who spent the last four seasons at Division I University of North Carolina Wilmington, joined the Colorado College men's basketball program as an assistant coach Jan. 4, 2021.
Burke joined the UNCW staff as director of basketball operations in 2017, was promoted to assistant coach prior to the 2018-19 campaign, and served as interim head coach for the latter half of the 2019-20 season.
Prior to his arrival at UNC Wilmington, Burke served as director of basketball operations at Georgia Southern University for two seasons. Before that, Burke spent five seasons as an assistant coach at The Citadel, where he recruited a pair of 1,000-point scorers.
After four seasons as a head coach at Limestone College (2000-02) and Campbell University (2002-04), Burke became head coach at Spartanburg Methodist College in 2004, where he posted a 112-67 record during his six seasons with the Pioneers.
Burke also spent the summer of 2008 at the Nike National Skills Academy, where he served as a pro staff skill development trainer.
Burke earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management from Chowan University.

He and his wife, Neily, have two daughters, Mina, 20, and Marissa, 10.
