2016: A team co-captain … Named an honorable-mention All-American by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association for the third time … Also named to the USILA’s inaugural all-West Region Team … Ranked 24th nationally with a .589 saves percentage and 41st averaging 12.63 saves per outing … Set a personal single-season high with 202 saves … Registered a career-best 22 saves against Roanoke College, one of 12 games this season and 33 contests during his career that he finished in double figures … Stopped 11 shots against Whittier College in the first round of the NCAA Championship as CC overcame a six-goal halftime deficit to record an 11-10 victory in overtime … Made 17 saves against Salisbury University in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
2015: Earned honorable-mention All-America accolades from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association for the second time … Finished the season tied for 33rd nationally with a .594 saves percentage and 38th with an 8.07 goals-against average … Posted an 8-4 record, with three of the four losses occurring against NCAA Tournament teams … Tied his career high with 17 saves during the 15-9 victory over Vassar College, and then recorded 18 in the 9-3 win at Whittier College and then again during the 12-6 loss at Endicott College in the first round of the NCAA Tournament … Recorded double-digit saves on six occasions.
2014: Named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season in a ballot of the league's head coaches … Murphy, who became the first freshman and first goaltender to claim the POY award last year, joins former Tiger defender Zach Hoisington (2010 and 2011) as the only players to win the defensive honor twice … Also was a first-team all-SCAC selection … Ranked No. 48 nationally and first in the SCAC with an 8.17 goals-against average and .574 saves percentage … Recorded double-digit saves eight times, including a season-high 16 in the 11-5 victory against Babson College and the 13-10 loss to No. 12 Amherst College in the first round of the NCAA Tournament … Named the league's Defensive Player of the Week three times.

Before Colorado College: Played lacrosse at Thayer Academy in Braintree, Mass., and the Taft School in Watertown, Conn. … Earned a pair of varsity letters playing goaltender at each school … Named Thayer’s MVP in 2010 as well as an honorable-mention Independent School League (ISL) selection … Posted an 8.8 goals-against average and .570 saves percentage as a junior at Taft … Recorded a 6.9 GAA and .660 saves ration as a senior when he made 213 saves … Named a 2012 New England East/West Senior All-Star, a first-team Western New England selection and an all-Western New England All Star.
