Derek Savage joined the Colorado College sports performance staff in October of 2019 and was promoted to full-time assistant strength and conditioning coach in August of 2021.
Savage is the main S&C coach for the cross country, track and field, tennis and men's soccer programs.
He worked at 365 Performance Hockey Academy in Monument, Colo., from 2017-21, two as an assistant strength and conditioning coach and two as the associate director of sports performance.
Savage earned a bachelors degree in exercise and movement science from Missouri State University in 2016 ad a masters degree in sports medicine: strength and conditioning in 2019 from UCCS, where he served as a graduate assistant S&C coach for the men's basketball, women's lacrosse and men's and women's golf programs.
