2012-13: Earned seven podium appearances at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, three in individual events and four as part of relay teams … Finished third in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a season-best clocking of 1:44.65 … Also claimed fourth in the 100 free in 47.37 and seventh in the 50 free in 21.49 … Combined with Chris Garrity, Robbie Adler and Colin Chupik to set school records in both medley relays … The quartet took second in the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:34.80 and third in the 400 medley in 3:28.56 … Claimed third place in the 400 free relay in a time of 3:08.36 with teammates Chupik, Michael Bennett and Brian Kopec … Teamed with Chupik, Garrity and Sam Zuke for a fourth-place finish in the 200 free relay in 1:25.30 … Finished first in the 100 free at the Colorado College Classic in 49.75, and took second in both the 50 free (23.05) and 200 free (1:52.88) … Earned a spot on the SCAC Honor Roll for excellence in the classroom.  
    
2011-12: Recorded a pair of podium finishes at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships … Finished fourth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 46.76 ... Took sixth in the 50 free in 21.45 … Swam the second leg for the 400 free relay team that won the conference championship in a school-record time of 3:04.02 … Helped the Tigers finish second in the in the 200 free relay in a CC-record 1:23.26 … Swam the breaststroke for the 200 medley relay team that finished 12th in a time of 1:40.31.
   
2010-11: Had career bests in the 50 and 100 freestyle events at the SCAC Championships … Placed 10th in the 100 free (47.84) at the SCAC Championships … Swam on the 400 free relay (3:08.46) and 200 medley relay (1:35.46) teams that both broke the school records and placed second and third, respectively at the conference championships … Touched 10th in the 50 free at the Colorado College Classic.
   
2009-10: Placed 13th in the 100 free and 16th in the 50 free at the SCAC Championships … Helped his team take third in the 200 medley relay and seventh in the 200 free relay at the conference championships.
   
Before Colorado College: McGuire lettered in lacrosse, soccer and water polo as a prep at Cate School in Carpenteria, Calif., where he earned first-team all-league honors in water polo his senior year.
