Katie Trainor


Katie Trainor, the former head coach at Goucher College, joined the Tigers as an assistant coach in 2012.

In addition to Trainor’s coaching and organizational skills, her reputation and experience has given Colorado College an added boost when it comes to recruiting the area of the country that historically produces many of the top collegiate players.

During her nine-year tenure at with the Gophers, which began in 2005 with one season as an assistant coach, Trainor brought two squads to Colorado Springs. Based on that experience alone, she has had no problem convincing recruits that CC provides an unparalleled combination of academics and athletics.

Trainor graduated from Colby College in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in American studies. During her four-year career, the Mules posted a 44-20 record.
 
She was named Colby’s MVP as a senior, after ranking seventh nationally in Division III with an average of 3.29 caused turnovers per game.

Trainor’s many awards include first-team All-America honors from Womenslacrosse.com and a selection to the IWLCA North-South All-Star Game.
