Kate Crandell joined the Colorado College volleyball staff as an assistant coach in 2024.
 
Prior to joining the Tigers program, Kate was an Associate Professor at Bellarmine University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in Louisville, Kentucky.
 
Crandell attended Purdue University where she played collegiate volleyball from 1981-1984. Kate was a four time All Big Ten Tournament Team selection, two time Regional All Tournament Team selection (1982, 1983), Academic All Big 10 (1984), played on the U.S. Olympic Sports Festival Team North Squad in 1983 (silver medal) and her school record of 233 career block solos still stands.  
 
Kate grew up in Wilmette, Illinois and attended graduate school at Washington University in St. Louis (Physical Therapy), Louisville Seminary (Divinity) and Shenandoah University (Physical Therapy).
