Steve Durand has been coaching with the Colorado College volleyball program since 2003, working primarily with the offense and coaching setting and serving. 

Durand started coaching volleyball in 1975 and has coached both male and female athletes of all ages. He has coached teams in California, Alaska, Alabama, Colorado and overseas in Italy. His teams have gone to junior nationals, state championships, the Mediterranean sports conference championships, the United States armed forces championships and finished 1st in the series D Italian championships. 

Since Durand joined the CC volleyball program, the Tigers have posted a combined 114-52 record and have had 12 all-conference players and two All-Americans. 

After spending 24 years in the U.S. Air Force as a firefighter, Durand retired as the Deputy Fire Chief at Peterson Air Force Base in 1997. He currently works as a quality services contract inspector for the Air Force Civil Engineer Squadron at Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs. 

Steve and his wife, Barbara, have two boys, Brian and Kevin.
