Julian Boggs won the 5,000-meter run for the second consecutive year to post the top finish for the Colorado College men's team at the 2008 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Track & Field Championships at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind.

The senior All-American finished in a time of 15:25.94, a little more than three seconds ahead of Rhodes College's Alex Mahoney, who posted a time of 15:29.29. Senior Nicholas Campbell completed the race in 15:50.49 to claim eighth place.

Junior Logan Boccard had the best time in the 400-meter hurdles, but only a second-place finish to show for it. He won his preliminary heat with a time of 55.70, but was two tenths of second slower in the finals and lost by .05 Rhodes' Anson Purdy.

Freshman Brad Dsida gave the Tigers another second-place finish in the 800-meter run. His time of 2:00.73 was .23 ahead of DePauw's Brandon Hood. Andrew Wagner (2:01.80) and Jesse Heaton (2:02.90) took sixth and ninth place, respectively, to give CC three in the top 10.

Boccard and Dsida teamed up with Colin Johnson and Brian Hall to claim sixth place in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:30.10. The Tigers finished .37 seconds ahead of the Rhodes College team.

Johnson settled for a 10th-place in the 400-meter dash, but was only .13 seconds from qualifying for the finals with a time of 51.63. That would have been good for eighth place in the finals.

Dan Karft finished 11th in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:16.06, while James Hobbs was 12th in the triple jump (36' 9 ¾”) and 16th in the long jump (19' 2 ½”).

Colorado College will be back in action on May 10 when the Tigers compete at the Air Force Twilight meet in an effort to post NCAA qualifying times.
