Senior midfielder
Ben Hancock could not have picked a better time to score the first game-winning goal of his career.
Hancock scored an unassisted goal 5:58 into overtime to give Colorado College a 3-2 victory over Rhodes College in a game that had to be postponed twice due to weather.
The game was originally scheduled for Friday afternoon, but the Tigers' flight out of Denver was cancelled because of snow. The teams were set to play on Friday night, but torrential rain made the synthetic turf at Mike Rose Stadium unplayable.
The Tigers appeared to be in complete control when they struck for a pair of goals just 2:31 apart early in the second half.
Jordan Reese extended his career-best point streak to seven games when he scored an unassisted goal in the 54th minute.
Wil Nelp gave CC a two-goal advantage when he converted off a Reese corner kick. It marked the third time this season Reese had a goal and an assist in the same game.
Logan Eberly almost single-handedly got the Lynx back in the game. He cut CC's lead to 2-1 with 27:28 remaining in the game, and then tied the score with 10:38 to go.
Zach Fernberger made seven saves to keep Rhodes in the game. The Tigers had a 21-13 advantage in total shots, including a 10-6 margin in shots on goal.
Brian Engle made four saves en route to his 15th career victory.
Colorado College improved to 9-7-1 overall and 5-3-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
The Tigers travel to Hendrix College on Sunday.
