Colorado College had five players named All-Region X selections by United Soccer Coaches, announced on Dec. 2.
Senior
Rex Karjian, juniors
Jack Hilliard and
Alex Wolter and sophomore
Teddy Opler were all named First Team selections. Freshman
Ewen Robertson was named a Second Team selection.
Karjian caps his senior season with another accolade. The defender was named the SCAC Defender of the Year and an All-SCAC First Team selection. He helped lead one of the nation's best defenses and ranked first in the SCAC with 11 assists.
It's Karjian's second-straight All-Region First Team selection.
Hilliard earned All-Region honors for the first time in his career after logging five goals, six assists and 43 shots. He was named an All-SCAC First Team selection and helped lead the Tigers to the SCAC Tournament title game.
Wolter also earned First Team honors for the second consecutive year after tying the record for most shutouts in a season in program history (11). The goalkeeper won a conference-best 12 games and finished the year with a save percentage of 84.6 percent.
Opler was named the SCAC Offensive Player of the Year and an All-SCAC First Team selection after scoring a conference-best 14 goals. He led the SCAC with 34 points after assisting on another six goals. It's the first regional recognition for the Wyoming native.
Robertson earned All-Region honors by scoring a SCAC-best 14 goals in his freshman year. The Concord, Mass. native took 47 shots and finished the year with 30 points (14g, 2a).
