Colorado College men's soccer senior
Rex Karjian was named a United Soccer Coaches All-American Second Team selection, announced on Thursday, Dec. 4.
Karjian caps his illustrious CC career with his first All-American nod. The Seattle, Wash. native also earned All-Region First Team and All-SCAC First Team honors.
"I am absolutely thrilled for Rex to receive All-America honors," head coach
Scott Palguta said. "Rex was one of the best left-backs in the country over the past two seasons, so this recognition is well-deserved. All-America teams are often dominated by players who play centrally, so to be selected as a left back, I think, is particularly impressive. The team and staff are so proud of Rex."
It's the third All-American nod for CC in the last two years after
Curtis Hale and
Alex Wolter got selected in 2024.
The SCAC Defender of the Year was an impactful player all over the field. He was the SCAC leader in assists with 11. He is now tied 10th all-time in program history with 25 career assists. The 11 he has this season is a career high after tallying 10 in 2024.
Karjian was also tied for fifth in the SCAC and third on the team with 17 points and three goals, the most in a season in his career.
He played and started in 18 matches, logging 1,486 minutes. He led the Tigers to a second consecutive SCAC regular season title and an appearance in the SCAC Tournament title game.
Karjian was the captain of the first-ever CC team to go into the regular season unbeaten and had a program record 18-game unbeaten streak.
The All-American nod adds to the long list of individual accolades Karjian has racked up this year. He was named a USC All-Region First Team and an All-SCAC First Team selection. He was also selected to be considered a College Sports Communicators Academic All-American after being named to the Academic All-District team.
This year's All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony on Saturday, January 17, 2026 in Philadelphia, Pa., in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
