After enjoying an extended holiday break, No. 3-ranked Colorado College makes its second holiday trip to the Sunshine State in three seasons when the Tigers travel to Estero, Fla., for the 2009 Florida College Hockey Classic the week between Christmas and New Year's.

Slated to play a pair of non-league games at Germain Arena (7,000 seating capacity), CC takes on Cornell University at 7:35 p.m. (ET) Tuesday, Dec. 29, then meets either the University of Maine or Princeton University at 4:05 or 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30. Maine and Princeton battle each other in the tournament opener the first day.

The Tigers are 11-4-3 overall and 8-3-3 in WCHA play after tying (4-4) and winning (4-1) at St. Cloud State University the weekend of Dec. 11-12. They're second in the league standings, just one point behind front-running University of Denver.

Cornell and Princeton, both members of the ECAC, are second and ninth, respectively, in their conference standings. The Big Red, 7-2-2 overall, is 6-2-1 in league play and trails first-place Quinnipiac University by a single point after a 2-2 tie with Union College on Dec. 5. The Tigers (of Princeton), 2-6-1 in ECAC play, are 4-8-1 overall after splitting at Mass.-Lowell earlier this month. Maine, currently third in the Hockey East Association, is 9-7-1 overall and 7-4-1 in league play. The Black Bears, who beat Northeastern (5-1) on Dec. 12, have won five consecutive games and are unbeaten (5-0-1) in their last six.

CC heads to Florida with a modest three-game (1-0-2) unbeaten streak and is 7-2-2 in 11 outings overall since early November.
