Wahl shows versatility in win over McMurry

Devin Wahl demonstrated his versatility on Friday night while leading Colorado College to a 152-39 victory over McMurry University at Schlessman Natatorium.

Despite not competing in his specialty, the distance freestyles, Wahl won three individual events to continue his string of dominating performances early in his sophomore season.

Wahl won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.36, which was only .16 off Flynn McGuire's season-best time of 23.20. He followed that effort up with victories in the 100 free (51.04) and the 100 breast (1:06.41).

Jordan DeGayner won the 100 butterfly with a time of 54.55, and then was the first to touch the wall in the 500 free by clocking in at 5:04.96.

Tyler Larrabee won the 200 free in 1:57.06, Jack Ludwig was first in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:24.44, and Tom Grossinger's time of 56.61 in the 100 back was also good for first place.

Joseph Shaner won both the 1- and 3-meter boards to help the Tigers finish first in all 12 events.

Colorado College and McMurry will swim against Adams State on Saturday afternoon at Schlessman Natatorium.
