Colorado College tries to snap a three-game winless skid (0-2-1) this weekend when the sixth-ranked Tigers hit the road for a pair of key WCHA outings against St. Cloud State University.

Faceoff at the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minn., is 7:07 p.m. (CT) Friday and Saturday.

The series completes the first half of the 2009-10 conference schedule for both teams, which are separated by just a single point in the WCHA standings.

CC, 10-4-2 overall after a 2-1 loss and 4-4 tie against the University of Denver last week, currently occupies second place with a 7-3-2 record in league play. The Huskies, who own a three-game winning streak after a recent sweep at Alaska Anchorage, are among three teams tied for third with a 7-4-1 mark. They're 8-6-2 overall.

Still undefeated (3-0-2) away from home this season, Colorado College is making its first out-of-state road trip since mid-November and will be playing at SCSU for the first time since splitting a pair of decisions there in mid-December of 2007.

Friday's series opener marks the 76th all-time meeting between the teams. The Tigers own a 40-30-5 advantage in the rivalry, and are 17-12-3 in 32 previous appearances at the NHC.
