Rested Tigers heading to Copper Country

Series at Michigan Tech awaits CC

Hopefully rested and invigorated after 13 days off from competition, Colorado College resumes action on the road this week with a two-game WCHA series against last-place Michigan Tech during Winter Carnival in Houghton, Mich.

Faceoff at MacInnes Student Ice Arena is 7:07 p.m. (EST) Friday and 5:07 p.m. Saturday.

With a sub-.500 record since mid-October, CC is as close to ninth place in the league standings as it is to first. The Tigers, who beat Alabama-Huntsville and MTU twice each at the World Arena the first two weekends of the campaign, have not swept a series since then. In fact, they've managed to win just once in their last 12 weekend openers en route to a 13-9-6 overall record and 9-8-3 mark in league play.

Michigan Tech, meanwhile, has won only one of 20 WCHA games so far. The Huskies are 5-18-5 overall and 1-14-5 in league play, but have posted three ties in their last four outings.
