Melanie Auguste recorded her second triple-double of the season as the Tigers pulled away in the second half for a 73-60 victory over Hendrix College on Friday night at Reid Gymnasium.
Auguste finished with 28 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds.
Colorado College jumped out to a 7-0 lead and went ahead by 12 points when
Eliese Hansberry scored with 8:27 remaining in the first half, but the Warriors fought back with a 21-8 run and took one-point lead when Anna Roane buried a three-pointer with 38 seconds remaining in the first half.
The Tigers took a two-point lead into the break after Auguste converted on an old-fashioned three-point play, and after Hendrix tied the score early in the second half, CC went on a 10-2 run to gain a littler separation and the Warriors were never able to get closer than six points.
The Warriors were led by Christina Byler, who made three of six three-point attempts and finished with 18 points. Amanda Morris had 11 points, while Anna Roane added 10.
The Tigers improved to 13-7 overall and 6-5 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. Colorado College extended its lead for second place in the SCAC's West Division to a game and a half. The Warriors slipped to 10-11 overall and 3-8 in conference play.
Colorado College plays host to Millsaps on Sunday at 2 p.m.
