Karen Friefeld and
Malia Vitousek scored four goals apiece to propel the Colorado College women's water polo team to a 12-4 victory over host Utica College in CC's first game of the Pioneer Tournament.
Liz Weber added three goals, three assists and had a pair of steals to help the Tigers improve to 3-1 on the season. Friefeld added a pair of assists to complete a six-point night.
Colorado College jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the first period, and then added four unanswered goals in the second frame to build an eight-goal lead.
Amanda Sulicz led the Pioneers with two goals.
The Tigers will face Brown University and Connecticut College on Saturday.
