Playing at home for the first time since early December, and the underdog for a change, Colorado College returns to the World Arena this weekend for a two-game WCHA series against the No. 3-ranked University of Wisconsin.

Faceoff is 7:37 p.m. (MT) Friday and 7:07 p.m. Saturday.

The Tigers, 12-7-3 overall, are 8-5-3 in conference play after losing twice (5-2 and 4-1) at the University of Minnesota Duluth last week. CC, which has dropped three consecutive decisions overall, currently occupies fourth place in the league standings, just one point ahead of fifth-place North Dakota and Wisconsin.

The Badgers, who have played two fewer WCHA games than all four teams ahead of them, are 12-5-3 overall and 8-4-2 in league play. They are undefeated (4-0-2) in their last six official outings since late November, and skated to a 7-1 exhibition victory over the United States Under-18 Team in Madison, Wis., last Saturday.

Friday's series opener marks the 173rd all-time contest between Colorado College and UW in a rivalry that began on Jan. 8, 1965. Wisconsin owns a 105-58-9 advantage overall, but has won just once in the last 10 encounters dating back to the 2006-07 campaign.

The Tigers, who posted a 3-2 victory and 1-1 tie in Madison earlier this season, own a 9-8-1 edge in 18 previous meetings at the World Arena, including an 8-3-1 mark in the last 12 after dropping five of the first six. They've won the last four.

CC is ranked eighth and ninth in this week's national polls after a three-week run at No. 3.
