Heading into a stretch drive during which they'll play seven of their final 10 regular-season games at home, the Tigers play host to the hottest team in all of college hockey this weekend when they meet St. Cloud State University in another key WCHA series at the World Arena.

Faceoff is 7:37 p.m. (MT) Friday and 7:07 p.m. Saturday.

Only one point separates the two teams in the incredibly tight league standings, where Colorado College is tied for fourth place with Wisconsin but has played two more games than all the other contenders.

CC, 14-9-3 overall and 10-7-3 in league play after splitting a pair of decisions at the University of Alaska Anchorage last weekend, has dropped a few notches to No. 11 in this week's national polls. 

St. Cloud State, meanwhile, climbed to No. 5 in the national rankings after beating the University of Minnesota twice. SCSU,16-7-3 overall and 11-5-2 in conference play, is tied with Denver for second place in the WCHA, both just one point behind front-running Minnesota Duluth.

In addition to their current eight-game winning streak, the Huskies are a sizzling 11-1-1 in their last 13 outings since late November. The only two blemishes on their record during that span were at the hands of Colorado College, which skated to a 4-4 tie and 4-1 victory at the National Hockey Center in mid-December.
