Colorado College and the YMCA are teaming up to present “Take A Kid to the Game Days” for CC's volleyball and men's soccer matches next weekend, Sept. 10-12.
Area youths, their families and Tiger fans will have the opportunity to experience a college game-day atmosphere and some exciting action as they cheer the Tigers on.
Admission to men's soccer games on Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. is free. Admission for Friday and Saturday's volleyball tournament is free for kids 18 and under, $5 for adults. One adult will receive free admission when accompanied by a child wearing a YMCA youth sport jersey or CC Volleyball camp t-shirt.
Volleyball matches are played in Reid Gymnasium, located in the El Polar Sports Center on the Colorado College campus. Men's soccer games are played at Stewart Field, just to the north of El Polar.
“Take A Kid to the Game” is a grass roots initiative that encourages adults and children to visit area colleges and experience exciting games. It began during the 2009-10 basketball season, but CC expanded the program to include other sports.
