Josh Thorimbert made 31 saves, one of which led to Nick Dineen's game-winning goal, as No. 5 Colorado College defeated the University of Wisconsin, 4-2, on Friday night at the World Arena.

Nine seconds after Thorimbert stoned the Badgers' Mark Zengerle at the edge of the crease, Dineen took an outlet pass from Charlie Taft and drove to the bottom of the right circle where his sharp-angle shot from near the goal line bounced off of Zengerle and went into the net at the far post.

Dineen opened the scoring midway through the first period when he put the rebound of a Gabe Guentzel shot past Joel Rumpel from between the face-off circles.

Wisconsin had a chance to do some serious damage late in the period, but a little more than two minutes after William Rapuzzi was sent off for a major checking-from-behind penalty, Dakota Eveland put a wrist shot from above the right circle past Rumpel for a 2-0 Tiger lead.

The Badgers cut their deficit in half with 1:12 remaining in the opening frame when Brendan Woods backhanded the rebound of a Frankie Simonelli shot over Thorimbert's glove. UW pulled to within 3-2 with 7:59 to play when Keegan Meuer scored off the rebound of a Justin Schultz drive from the blue line.  

Jaden Schwartz put the game away when he buried his own rebound off a shot from the slot after taking a feed from Michael Boivin, who had circled around the net and sent a pass through traffic from beside the right post.

Colorado College improved to 6-2-0 overall and 4-2-0 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. Wisconsin slipped to 5-7-1 overall and 4-6-1 in conference play.

The Tigers play host to the Badgers again on Saturday night at 7:07 p.m.
