Box Score Colorado College played its best ball of the season on Saturday night and went toe-to-toe with first-place Trinity University for more than 37 minutes.
The final 12:20 was a different story .
After freshman guard
Katie Waters tied the game at 40-40 with 12:38 remaining, the Texas Tigers broke the game open with an 11-0 run and pulled away for a 75-59 victory.
Senior forward
Marissa Gradoz went 7-for-10 from the field and led the Tigers with 17 points.
Senior guard
Kalli Kemling added 14 points and seven rebounds, while freshman forward
Danielle Davis scored 11.
Junior guard Murphy Burns paced TU with a game-high 21 points. Junior forward Libby Kruse recorded 14 points and eight rebounds, while sophomore guard Hannah Coley added 13 points.
Colorado College led 15-12 after senior forward
Sarah Gunkel scored two of her eight points 8:13 into the contest and the score was tied after Kemling buried the first of her three treys with 3:38 to play in the first half.
CC dropped to 3-17 overall and 3-7 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. Trinity improved to 15-4 overall and leads the league with a 9-0 record.
Colorado College continues its five-game home stand next Saturday when the University of Dallas visits Reid Arena for an SCAC contest that tips off at noon.
