Milne pours in 27, but Tigers fall at UNC

Box Score Despite a game-high 27 points from senior guard Ryan Milne, Colorado College suffered its first loss of the season at the University of Northern Colorado on Tuesday night.
 
The Division I Bears shot 59-percent from the floor and used a 46-22 advantage on the glass to defeat the Tigers, 96-57.
 
Milne became the second player in program history to eclipse the 1,200-point plateau and finished the game with 1,216.
 
After he scored on a driving layup to pull CC to within 11-9 just 5:22 into the game, Northern Colorado outscored CC, 43-20, the rest of the first half to take a 25-point lead into intermission.
 
Anthony Johnson, who led UNC with 15 points, was one of five Bears to record double-digit points. Tim Huskisson scored 14 points, while Derrick Barden added 13 and a game-high nine rebounds. 
 
Junior forward Chris Lesnansky added 15 points for the Tigers, who shot 35 percent from the floor.
 
Sophomore guard Justin Berardino added five points and grabbed a team-high four rebounds.
 
Northern Colorado improved to 5-2.
 
Colorado College (5-1) is idle until Dec. 28 when it visits Lehman College in New York City.
