The Colorado College men's basketball team earned the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award and placed five players on the NABC Honors Court for the 2025-26 season. 
 
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the '25-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
 
The NABC's academic awards are presented annually to teams and athletes from all levels of college basketball.

"I'm very proud of this year's team. We fought a lot of adversity and still finished very strong with a 10-4 conference record, the guys demonstrated impressive resilience and character," head coach Jeff Conarroe said. "Further defined by their academic achievement, they are true scholar-athletes. They never lost sight of the vision to grow by leveraging the distinction of Colorado College and they delivered in the classroom and on the court by demonstrating significant growth and accomplishments." 

This is the 14th time in program history that CC has earned the Team Academic Excellence Award. 
 
Recent graduates Asher Nofziger, Noah Deitch, Orion Samikoglu and Russell MacFarlane, along with rising senior Ty Hendler, were named Honors Court members.
 
"Their full engagement in the CC experience resulted in three graduating seniors stepping into amazing jobs in banking and AI sales, including Orion and Noah," Conarroe added. "Russell will continue his education at the Drucker School of Management at Claremont and Asher will play professionally in Spain."
 
They joined over 2,300 players who earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and CC was one of nearly 400 programs to receive NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2025-26.
