Nofziger Earns First Team, Elite 19 honors as Four Tigers Land All-SCAC Recognition

Colorado College placed four student-athletes on the 2025-26 All-SCAC Men's Basketball teams, highlighted by senior Asher Nofziger earning First Team honors and the SCAC Elite 19 Award.

Nofziger was named to the All-SCAC First Team for the first time in his career, marking his third overall all-conference selection. Nofziger led CC in scoring at 15.5 points per game and finished the season with 404 total points. He also averaged 9.4 rebounds per contest, pulling down 244 boards — the fourth-highest single-season total in program history — while shooting 46.9 percent from the field.

Nofziger closed out a decorated Tiger career ranked fifth all-time in program history with 663 career rebounds and 15th all-time in scoring with 1,153 career points. He started all 26 games this season and added 18 blocks and 14 steals, anchoring CC on both ends of the floor.

In addition to his on-court accolades, Nofziger was named the SCAC Elite 19 Award winner. Established in 2018-19, the Elite 19 recognizes the student-athlete in each conference-sponsored sport who combines elite athletic performance with academic excellence. To be eligible, student-athletes must have completed at least 60 credit hours at their current institution, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, and earn All-SCAC honors during the season.

"This is an incredible honor for Asher," said head coach Jeff Conarroe. "He ends his career with his fingerprints all over the record books and will remain there for a long time. With twelve teams and a deep league, there was a lot of talent competing for just a few spots. I thought we had a good team this year and finished very strong. I'm disappointed some of our other guys didn't get the recognition I felt they deserved.

"Asher's achievement is well earned and caps a great career here at Colorado College. He will be difficult to replace, but so will this whole senior class. The success of one is the success of all our Tigers, and there is no question this class has left the program in a better place. I'm proud of our team and the men they have become."

Junior Gavin Carter, junior Ty Hendler and senior Russell MacFarlane each earned All-SCAC Honorable Mention recognition.

Carter receives his first career all-conference honor after averaging 7.0 points per game while leading CC with 121 assists and adding 33 steals. He started 23 games and served as the primary facilitator for a Tigers offense that averaged 75.9 points per contest.

Hendler collects his second consecutive All-SCAC Honorable Mention selection after averaging 12.2 points per game in 19 appearances. He totaled 231 points on the season and shot 81.9 percent from the free-throw line, providing consistent perimeter scoring and late-game efficiency.

MacFarlane earned the first all-conference recognition of his career following a strong defensive campaign. The senior averaged 7.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game while recording a team-high 35 blocks and 92 defensive rebounds. His rim protection and interior presence were key components of CC's defensive identity throughout the year.

"We aspire to grow champions in our program in every facet of their lives," Conarroe said. "There is no more significant of an award than the SCAC 19 award as a testament to that pursuit. Asher is a great student, great person much like all of his teammates, he is also an extraordinary player too."
