Tigers fall to Johnson & Wales

Box Score Johnson & Wales connected on 10 of 27 shots from 3-point range and pulled away for an 86-69 victory over Colorado College on Wednesday night at Reid Arena.
 
Sophomore guard Amanda Weber knocked down seven shots from behind the arc and finished with a game with 26 points for the visiting Wildcats, who shot 63.3 percent from the field in the second half.
 
Sophomore guard Kristen Ward scored 18 points, while senior guard Tameka Manning chipped in with 14.
 
Freshman forward Korbyn Ukasick reached double-figure points for the fifth time in eight games and led the Tigers with 17 points.
 
Sophomore guard Katie Wirth scored 14 points for CC, while sophomore forward Danielle Davis added 13 before fouling out with 58 seconds to play.
 
After Ukasick's layup gave the Tigers an early 11-10 edge, JWU ran off 10 consecutive points to build a 20-11 lead with 7:50 to play in the first half.
 
Colorado College trailed by 10 points with 1:36 remaining in the half, but scored six of the next eight points to pull to within 34-28 after 20 minutes.
 
Sophomore guard Katie Waters hit all seven of her free throws and finished with 11 points.
 
CC is idle until Dec. 31 when it plays host to the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
