Box Score Junior attacker 
Elise Burchard struck for a pair of goals and set up another, but the Tigers couldn't score in the closing seconds and dropped an 8-7 decision to Plymouth State College in their home opener on Wednesday afternoon at Washburn Field.
Junior goaltender Lorin Field made 11 saves, including one on a free-position shot with seven seconds to play, to help the Panthers escape with the victory.

Elise Burchard scored just 26 seconds apart to tie the score at 7-7 a little less than 11 minutes play, but sophomore attacker Meghan McNabb put the visitors ahead to stay when she scored her second goal with 9:55 to play.
Field made all five of her second-half saves during the final nine minutes to deny CC its first victory of the season. Three of the Tigers losses were by one goal, while another was by just three.
Burchard led the Tiger attack with two goals and an assist. Her first tally 1:53 into the second gave Colorado College its final lead at 5-4.
But less than two minutes later, sophomore attacker Amy MacDonald and senior midfielder Caitlin Swanson each found the net in a span of 14 seconds to put the Panthers back in front. McDonald's second goal with 22:45 to play gave PSU a 7-5 lead, their biggest of the contest.
The Tigers took an early 2-0 advantage on markers by senior attacker

Anna Crosby. The Panthers scored three in a row to take their first lead with 8:49 remaining in the first half, but CC scored two of the next three goals to tie the game at 4-4 after 30 minutes.

Abby Fink made eight saves and had five ground balls for the Tigers. Senior midfielder 
Kate Krieger caused three turnovers and had a pair of draw controls.
Sophomore midfielder Molly Gleason led the Plymouth State defense with three caused turnovers and six draw controls.
Colorado College plays host to Goucher College on Thursday at 4 p.m. The Panthers play Pacific University on Saturday on the Washburn turf.
