CC Named IWLCA Honor Squad; 11 Tigers Selected to Academic Honor Roll

The Colorado College women's lacrosse team was named a 2026 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic Honor Squad and 11 Tigers were selected to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll for their individual excellence in the classroom.

The IWLCA named 357 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2025-26 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.

This is the 15th consecutive year and the 20th time since the award's inaugural year in 2003 that CC has been on the list.

"A 3.7 team GPA reflects the culture we're building, one where our women challenge and support one another while holding themselves to a high standard," head coach AJ Johnson said. "Their commitment in the classroom is a direct reflection of their dedication and work ethic. I'm incredibly proud to see so many recognized for their academic achievements while contributing to this outstanding team accomplishment."

Meanwhile, recent graduates Grace Bean, Alyssa Kawala and Ella Roe were all named to the Honor Roll for the second time, while graduate Amanda Roan and rising seniors Meghan Collins, Frances Hansot, Charlotte Iler, Oliv Janerico, Kathryn Mahoney, Sofia Mancino and Meilani Molina were selected for the first time.

"Seeing our student athletes excel both on the field and in the classroom comes as no surprise," Johnson added. "This IWLCA recognition is well deserved for these 11 young women, who challenge themselves every day to succeed academically and compete with purpose. Their integrity, work ethic, and character set them apart, and this honor is a reflection of the dedication they bring to everything they do."

The IWLCA honored 1,350 student-athletes from 174 different institutions on the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
