Box Score Courtney Tyus continued to show that she is one of top all-around players in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, but Southwestern University used a double-double by senior forward Chelsea Leeder to pull away late for a 78-67 victory on Friday night at Reid Arena.
Tyus recorded team highs of 18 points, nine rebound rebounds to help keep the Tigers within striking distance. The Pirates, however, used a 17-10 surge during the final 7:55 to close out the victory.
Tyus climbed into third place on the program's career assist chart with 253, surpassing Annie Hull's (1989-92) total of 247. The junior guard also cracked the program's top 30 in career rebounds and finished the game ranked No. 29 with 314.

Danielle Davis finished with 14 points, four rebounds and four steals.
Freshman forward
Korbyn Ukasick added 13 points, her 12th game of the season she reached double figures, while sophomore guard
Katie Waters chipped in 10 points.
Leeder led the Pirates with 28 points and 12 rebounds, while junior forward Annie Bourne added a second double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Lashelle Williams finished with 11 points and six rebounds for Southwestern, which improved to 7-8 overall and 4-2 in the conference.
Colorado College, 1-16 overall and 1-5 in the SCAC, plays host to Trinity University on Saturday at 7 p.m. MT.
