Highlights from NCHC.tvFourth-ranked Boston College completed a weekend sweep of Colorado College with a 5-0 victory Saturday night at The Broadmoor World Arena. Adam Gilmour scored twice and Thatcher Demko had 21 saves in posting his second straight shutout as the Eagles improved to 4-1.

Junior goalie
Tyler Marble made 27 saves in the final two periods for the Tigers (0-6) after relieving freshman
Jacob Nehama after the first 20 minutes. Nehama allowed three goals on eight shots in the opening frame, including Gilmour's first just 2:23 into the contest. Austin Cangelosi scored at the 15:16 mark and Ian McCoshen tallied at 18:11 to put BC in cruise control.

The Tigers held steady through the majority of the second period before giving up a shorthanded goal to Zach Sanford with 3:25 remaining in the period. Sanford found himself on a 2-on-1 with teammate Chris Brown and after Brown sent a shot wide from the slot, Sanford cleaned up the rebound and flipped a shot over Marble's shoulder.

CC had a 5-on-3 opportunity for 35 seconds early in the third period, but could not convert against Demko. The Tigers struggled on the power play all weekend, going 0-for-10, including an 0-for-6 performance on Saturday. The CC penalty kill, however, was impressive once again as BC converted just one of its six opportunities, Gilmour's second goal of the game at the 8:53 mark of the third for the final tally of the contest.

The Eagles held a 37-21 advantage in shots, led by Sanford with five, while four others each had four. Junior
Alex Roos led the Tigers with four shots, followed by freshman
Andrew Farny with three.

"I thought we had good energy in early in the game, but everything they touched went in the net," head coach
Mike Haviland said. "They are a skilled team and they make you pay. It's tough to come back from a 3-0 deficit in the first period."

The Tigers open National Collegiate Hockey Conference action against No. 2/1 North Dakota next weekend, Oct. 30-31, at The Broadmoor World Arena. Â Â Â Â
