Box Score Despite a strong second-half performance, Colorado College dropped a 3-1 decision at San Jose State in its final road game of the 2016 season.

Catie McDonald scored her second goal of the season in the 79th minute to cap a solid second half, but the Tigers were unable to get any closer.

Ansley Queen, turned and launched a shot from 25 yards. The assist was Queen's first collegiate point.
SJSU broke through in the eighth minute when sophomore forward Darriell Franklin found the net with a header off of a cross from the left wing from senior midfielder Alexis Venegas.
The Spartans doubled their lead a little more than 15 minutes later when freshman defender Kristen Amarikwa headed home a free kick from the right wing by junior midfielder Yaritza Arista.
Venegas made it 3-0 in the 35th minute off a pass from senior forward Camila Villarino, who had dribbled to the goal line before chipping the ball back to the middle of the box. Â
San Jose State finished with an 11-7 advantage in total shots, while the CC recorded a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
First-year goalkeeper
Molly Hiniker stopped three shots for Colorado College.
The Tigers slipped to 7-11-0 overall and 3-7-0 in the Mountain West.
Freshman goalkeeper Ana Calero made a pair of saves for the Spartans, who improved to 10-4-4 overall and 7-2-1 in the conference.
CC plays host to Air Force in its regular-season finale on Friday, Oct. 28, at Washburn Field.
