Box Score No. 6 Colorado College completed the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Championships with a third place finish after sweeping Austin College, 3-0, in Shreveport, La., on Saturday afternoon.

Jordan Mullen led the Tigers with her second double-double of her career on 10 kills and 13 digs. Senior
Abbe Holtze also contributed with eight kills and eight digs.

CC held Austin to a .072 hitting percentage on 26 kills in 97 attempts with 19 errors to earn the victory and improve to 27-5 on the season. This was the 18th time this year that the Tigers have held their opponent to hitting under a .100 attack percentage.

Lizzy Counts led the offense with 30 assists, while helping the Tigers hit a .211 attack percentage on the day with 41 kills in 109 attempts with just 18 errors.

During the first set, CC held a 7-6 edge over Austin when freshman middle hitter
Marguerite Spaethling drilled down a kill to ignite a 5-0 run. Freshman defensive specialist
Caitlin Laurence, who served three service aces in the first set, capped the run on her second ace to give the Tigers a 12-6 lead. CC maintained its lead the remainder of the set to win 25-19.

Colorado College dominated the second set taking an early 10-2 lead after back-to-back kills by Mullen. Austin pulled to within 14-9 on a kill by Dani DeWitt, but an attack error helped spark a 10-1 run to give the Tigers a 24-10 lead on an ace by freshman defensive specialist
Sarah Lawton. The 'Roos scored three more points until a service error gave CC the 25-13 second-set victory.

The Tigers gave up only two kills in the second set, while forcing six errors in 26 attempts to hold the 'Roos to a game-low -.154 hitting percentage.

After DeWitt cut CC's lead to 10-6 on a kill in the third set, junior middle hitter
Glenna Yancey answered back with a solo block to ignite a 7-3 run to give the Tigers a 17-9 lead. Austin was unable to cut CC's lead to less than five the remainder of the set as sophomore right-side hitter
Anna Grigsby sealed the win with a kill for the 25-19 victory.

CC hit its best mark in the third set on a .308 hitting percentage on 16 kills in 39 attempts, while committing only four errors.
