Box Score Colorado College's smallest player came up big on Friday night as the Tigers tipped off their Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference schedule with a 51-46 victory over the University of Dallas at Reid Arena.

Jordan Meltzer hit a short jumper with 26 seconds to play after grabbing an offensive rebound, and then sophomore guard
Casey Torbet sealed the victory by sinking four straight free throws during the final 13 seconds.
Meltzer, a 5-foot-3 guard, grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds and completed her first career double-double with a team-high 12 points.
Torbet finished with 11 points despite playing just 19 minutes due to foul trouble.
The Crusaders were up 45-42 after Holly Tonry scored on a layup with 1:17 to play, but a three-pointer by sophomore guard
Payton Katich knotted the score 20 seconds later.
After forcing a turnover, CC had a pair of chances to take the lead before Meltzer put the Tigers ahead to stay.
Colorado College trailed by six points with 2:07 remaining in the first half, but took a 20-19 lead into the break after junior guard
Francesca Cendali buried a three-pointer from 25 feet away as time expired.
The Crusaders took a 27-22 lead when freshman guard Celsi Caraway dialed long distance 2:33 into the third quarter, but CC chewed into its deficit and grabbed a 31-30 lead when sophomore guard
Kaylyn Radtke connected from behind the arc with 20 seconds to play.
The Tigers were 5-for-18 from behind the arc while UD made just one of 21 attempts.
Junior forward Michelle DeCoud led the Crusaders with 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
Senior forward Seana Stoia added nine points and seven rebounds for the Crusaders, who slipped to 6-2 overall.
Colorado College (2-8) is idle until Dec. 29 when it opens the Pikes Peak Holiday Classic against Concordia University Texas.
