Box Score Ben Blacker made 25 saves and added an assist as Western Michigan defeated Colorado College, 3-0, Saturday night at Lawson Arena.

Sheldon Dries opened the scoring with a breakaway goal during the power-play at the 9:04 mark of the first period and the Broncos never looked back. Matheson Iacopelli took the puck off a save from Blacker and found Dries, who went in all alone against CC goalie Leclerc and slipped a backhander just under the crossbar for a 1-0 lead. Â

Griffen Molino made it 2-0 with a 4-on-4 goal at the 14:28 mark of the opening frame after Corey Schueneman's shot from the point ricocheted off the back wall right to Molino, who scored from the left circle.

Western Michigan (13-6-3, 7-6-1-1 NCHC) scored the final goal of the game at the 11:49 mark of the second period as Aaron Hadley recorded the Broncos' first shorthanded goal of the season to make it 3-0.

The Tigers (6-16-2, 2-10-2 NCHC) struggled on the power play again Saturday, going 0-for-7, including a pair of two-man advantages. The Broncos were 1-for-6 on the power play.
