Dallas Beats Tigers in Season Finale

Box Score In its final game of the season, the Colorado College women's basketball team was unable to beat the University of Dallas for the second time this season as it dropped a 71-63 decision to the Crusaders on Saturday afternoon in Irving, Texas.
 
Senior Korbyn Ukasick led the Tigers in scoring for the final time in her career with 16 points. The forward ended her career at CC ranking 15th all-time in scoring with 976 points and seventh all-time in three-point field-goals made with 87.  
 
Despite the loss, the Tigers finished the game shooting their second-best mark of the season on a 41.7 field-goal percentage on 20-of-48 shooting. CC also shot its best mark of the season from long range on a 46.7 three-point field-goal percentage on seven three-pointers in 15 attempts.
 
Holly Tonry gave Dallas a 27-21 lead on a layup with 4:53 remaining in the second quarter, but Colorado College's Ukasick made a pair of free throws with 4:13 left to close out the half on a 9-2 run and hand the Tigers a 30-29 edge at intermission.
 
CC began the third quarter on a 7-2 run, which ended on a three-pointer by senior guard Christina Bowman with 8:10 remaining to give the Tigers their largest lead of the game at 37-31.
 
Dallas came back and closed out the third quarter on a 20-9 run with Tonry making a pair of free-throws with one second left in the quarter to hand her team a 46-51 lead after 30 minutes of action.
 
Caitlyn Worry gave the Crusaders a 58-50 lead on a jump shot with 7:04 left in the game, but back-to-back three-pointers by Ukasick and Bowman cut the lead to 58-56 with 6:10 remaining. That proved to be as close as CC would get as Dallas closed out the game on a 13-7 run.
 
Tonry led the Crusaders with a game-high 24 points and seven assists. Seana Stoia added 16 points, while Michelle DeCoud and Worry added 13 and 12 points, respectively.
 
Dallas finished its regular-season with an 11-14 record and a 3-11 record in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference   
 
Sophomore guard Casey Torbet and freshman guard Nia Duplain added 13 and 10 points, respectively, for the Tigers who finished their season with a 2-23 record and a 1-13 record in the SCAC.
