Box Score 2 The Colorado College women's lacrosse team opened its 2017 campaign with a pair of convincing victories on Saturday at the Concordia Dome at Concordia University, St. Paul.
The Tigers defeated Hamline University, 21-4, in the first game of the day, and then the University of Northwestern, 22-3, in the nightcap.
First-year midfielder
Lauren Pejza led CC with three goals against the Pipers, while junior attacker
Steph Kelly recorded a game-high six points with two goals and four assists.

Colorado College led 7-0 before Dana Almquist put Hamline on the board with 19:08 remaining in the first half.
Goaltender
Remy Wells made four saves during the first half to record the victory in her first collegiate game. Junior
Zoe Frolik stopped one shot during the final 30 minutes.
Freshman midfielder
Avery Melville caused three turnovers.
Against Northwestern, DeFrino and senior midfielder
Sadie Cole led the Tigers with five goals apiece.
Senior attacker
Hannah Lyons, freshman attacker
Mary Kate Maloney and Kelly each scored twice.
In addition to Maloney, Melville and freshman midfielder
Callan Oki scored their first collegiate goals.
Colorado College finished with a 32-8 advantage in total shots and won 16 of 24 draw controls.
CC plays its home opener on Monday, March 6, against Ursinus College at Stewart Field.
